BIOGRAPHY
Akihito “Akito” Otani was born March 29, 1980 in Osaka, Japan.
In 1998 he attended Konan University to major in Bio-Science. During his studying of gene, he was introduced to the art scene. He decided to move to New York City where he thinks is the most influential one for the art world in 2000.
Living in New York City excited his curiosity and then he learned surrealism at the School of Visual Arts. His earliest works were inspired by Surrealist, Salvador Dali and Man Ray. In 2005, he obtained a B.F.A at the school.
